Project description

The project involved determining if a titanium-lined carbon steel autoclave was still serviceable after a 1.5″ thickness loss related to an acid leak, as well as evaluating what repairs, if any, were needed.

  • Owner’s Inspector
  • Welder certification and approval of welding procedures
  • Approval of non-destructive testing procedures and report
  • Heat treatment procedure in accordance with WRC 452
  • Coordination with local authorities
  • Repairs completed in 4 months (vs. a minimum of 12 months for new equipment delivery)
