Project description

Construction of a new plant for the continuous production of atomized titanium. Complete 25kV-600V electrical distribution, cable tray system, lighting, grounding, etc.

GCM Mandate

Performed the detailed electrical engineering and bidding process required for the electrical distribution of a new plant.
Design and collaboration for the installation of two 2.5MVA pad-mounted transformers with HQ.
Design of 600V power switchgear and distribution panels.
Design of a complex system of trays for low voltage distribution.
Lighting design for all areas: laboratory, office, warehouse, exterior building and parking lot.
Design of a grounding grid including grounding of the building and specific electrical equipment.
Support to the client for the construction and validation of the construction in a very short time (10 months) for the construction, the installation of the equipment and the start-up.
Complete Arc Flash analysis studies including tagging, power flow analysis and short circuit validations.

Deliverables

  • Complete construction package, installation specifications, 2D and 3D drawings, equipment and cable list, for comments, bids and construction.
  • Assist with start-up and provide remote technical support at the plant.
